This semester gave us the first glimpses of normalcy after two and a half semesters of online schooling. However, this semester also presented its own set of challenges. It is important to remember that time spent resting is just as important as time spent on working. There is a plethora of activities, both productive and relaxation oriented, that can be done over break.

Improving your resume and Linked-In is a great way to spend time on the productive front. This is the perfect time to make use of the resources and connections SWE provides to perfect your resume and expand your network for a more successful job search. You can find our officers on our website and even get referrals. You can also add your resume in the SWE portal. This break can also be used to advance your skill set. This can be in the form of learning a language or a major-related task. Fun fact: UTD offers Linked-In Learning for all its students for free!

It’s also essential to take a break from the chaos of a school semester. This can be in the form of exploring local restaurants, watching new movies, and catching up with old friends and family. However, please remember to mask up and stay safe during these times!
